On Thursday evening, I waited ever so patiently for my sister, Lisa to arrive at the South Carolina International Airport. When I got the text "we've landed" my heart started to race. It will be soon that I can put my arms around her. There is nothing like having a sister come visit when your the only adult in the house. Although her flight was on time, she came in after my bed time. We, Matthew & I, stayed up to visit a little before we called it a night. Friday morning came and I was excited to start the day with Lisa, however, she either had some bad airport food or she brought a bug from home. She spent the day in bed and AJ & I took care of her while she recuperated. The boys back in Denver had a bad case of the flu, lucky for them Ryan's mom was there to help. Friday evening, Lisa was done laying around, so we went to the Olive Garden for dinner. Somethings looked ok but the smells started to get to her. She wasn't sure if it was because she wasn't feeling well or because she is 9 weeks pregnant. We managed to get through dinner and then walked it off in Toys R Us. We got back to the house around 9ish. On Saturday, we all (yes, even Matthew) went to downtown Charleston to walk, well we walked she shopped. We took a few pictures on the waterfront and then headed for lunch at the Noisy Oyster. The rest of the day was us laying around doing nothing. Which for Lisa, felt great. Sunday, we headed up to see Justin in Columbia. Lisa got to see Justin's Apartment, we then went to the bookstore for souvenirs and a bathroom break. It was a dreary day, we went to lunch at Liberty, however it was Sunday and they were serving brunch. We ended up staying and having a wonderful time. After our bellies were full we headed to Jos. A. Banks for Justin's suit. He needed an amazing suit for his upcoming interview with the Admiral, who will determine whether or not he has a future in the Navy. Lisa, being a pro at suits asked all the right questions and helped Justin pick out his jackets, shirts, and ties. No wonder the sales man thought she was his mom. I was just along for the learning experience, which was kinda nice. We dropped Justin off at his apartment, where the picture taking continued. Lisa was emotional for the both of us, as we left Justin to work on homework. That evening we tried to get more time in with Lisa before I had to take her back to the airport at 4:30 Monday morning. Again she was emotional for the both of us. I know her trip was VERY short, but I enjoyed every minute I had with her. Thank you Lisa for making the trip. I love you and miss you very much.

I'm so happy that you girls had a good time! I'll never forget the first time I was able to go visit my sister. Even though I had to drive "all" the way to Decatur by myself. Pretty scary back then. You girls are fortunate to have supportive husbands who realize you need "time off". Proud of my daughters!!!
Love,
Mom
